However, it can cause you some kind fraustration, when you arrive to a blank home. Therefore, it is the perfect time to think about essential home decor items, and set the base of your new apartment.
Essential home decor items can be debatble, from personal taste, to priorities, it can differ from one person to another, but in my opinion essetial home decor is very clear.

1 .Neutral Sofa :
A neutral sofa in your living room is a MUST! you know it is like the plain canvas that you start to build on. It is like the first investment in home decor.
Plus, i strongly don’t recommend buying a clored couch or sofa, because, whenever you want redecorate and refresh your living room in the future…you’ll have to stick with that color.

2. Area Rug:
Rugs, carpets, or flooring mats are CRUCIAL ! We cannot think about home decor, and leave the floor empty and cold.
The most essential apartment floor items are a living room carpet, a warm and fluffy rug next to your bed, and bathroom mats.
This is a high quality affordable rug from a vintage brand called Safavieh, that i absolutly recommend!
3. Accent Furniture:
A dinner table with chairs is so important, even if you already have a kitchen counter to eat on, a table in the living room with a couple of chairs is always useful.
Other essential decor furniture are chairs, for your table, your desk, living room or balcony. Now they don’t need to be the same (I don’t recommend having the same chairs for all your rooms), but consider having a few here and there.
4. Wall Shelves :
For both decorative and storage purposes, wall shelves are important! I highly suggest to DIY open shelves at home, but if you prefere cabinets, make sure to choose ones that are light and sturdy, to hold the weight of your decor items.
5. Lights:
Lights are essential, but highly underrated! They can completely transform a room, however, let’s ditch the bright ceiling LED lights that irritate the eye, and pick yellow ambient lamps and chandeliers.
7. Blinders :
For other use than providing a little privacy over your windows, blinders are an essential home decor item. Flowy, rigid, colorful or doubled are a matter of taste and personality, however i always recommend ceiling to floor curtains to maximize the space.
